Participation is easy!
An unforgettable dining experience will be offered to all guests staying at one of the 4 and 5 star hotels attached to the Bali Hotel Association. While checking into your hotel you will be provided with the “Passport to Delight” booklet including the participating restaurants and an excellent culinary program and special complimentary offers throughout the month of August.
The “Passport to Delight” opens the door to Culinary Bali. By showing the Passport you can participate in all program items of the Bali Dining Festival. Reservations can be made at the reception of your hotel or directly at the restaurant of your choice. (Reservations of the Safari only at the hotel reception)
Passport to Delight
- When you dine, attend a venue or special function over the one month period, each visitor staying at a BHA hotel will be given a “Passport Book“ in which all the participating restaurants will be featured. All venues have special festival menus, prices and complementary offers and will give extra special attention to all guests throughout the festival.
- The passport will be in English, Japanese and Indonesian languages.

The Jimbaran - Nusa Dua Safari
THE LUXURY EXCURSION
Culinary supremos Dean, Raymond and Gary have conspired to make
this trip a gourmet’s delight! Starting with cocktails
at delightful Dava at the Ritz-Carlton Bali Resort & Spa at 5.30
so you don’t miss the sunset-you are then whisked down the hill
to di Mare at Karma Jimbaran Resort for a poolside main course. Then

The Kerobokan - Seminyak Safari
Dining, Nightlife & Chic Fun
We start in the heart of ‘Eat Street’ Jl. Oberoi, at the
exceptional Kaizan Restaurant where Mily will conjure some marvellous
modern Japanese delights.
It’s just a short trip to the beachfront magnificence of Breeze
at The Samaya where Torsten will unveil his main course masterpiece.
After that it’s just minutes to hu’u Restaurant & Bar
where dessert, coffee and liqueurs served by Abu finish the Safari
but start the evening in one of Bali’s top night spots!

The Ubud Safari
PEACE, BEAUTY AND SUPERB FOOD
The Viceroy’s marvelous Cascades Restaurant starts off the Ubud cultural evening with Chef Wayan’s starters. We then move into the centre of Ubud to the main course of Roland’s creation in his Lamak Restaurant (designed by uber-hip Made Wijaya). Then it’s off to the exceptional Ubud Hanging Gardens for dessert and liqueurs in Beduur conjured up by Chef Renaud.

Dining Festival Event Line: 0361-769439. Bookings must be made at
least two full day in advance to secure a place and secured by a
credit card number.
HOW TO PAY:
All payments will be made at the first restaurant by cash or credit
card.
HSBC Gold & Platinum Card members and Premier Accounts get 10% discount on all Safaris when paying with their card.
TRANSPORTATION
All Safari’s start and finish at the first restaurant. You
may leave from the final restaurant if you have arranged your own transportation.

Casa Luna Cooking School

The Casa Luna Cooking School classes provide a fascinating insight
into Balinese life, beliefs and culture through learning about its
food, cooking and culinary myths. Class discussions are relaxed and
friendly and are held in the lush tropical setting of the family compound
of hosts, Ketut Suardana and Janet De Neefe. They include specific
references to the role of food in Balinese society, its ceremonial
use and religious importance.
Participants learn about the exotic herbs and spices used in ceremonial
and everyday Balinese dishes and are encouraged to actively help prepare
the lavish Balinese feast that will then be enjoyed with a glass or
two of the local rice wine, or homemade hibiscus tea. Written notes
and recipes are provided in each class and people of all ages and backgrounds
can enjoy the classes, which are conducted in English. No part of the
class may be reproduced. You are invited to take photos and video tape
parts of the class but tape recording is not allowed.
